The future of fashion is sustainable.

As lovers of the ocean, mountains, lakes, rivers and all things nature, we understand the importance of protecting where we play.

That is why Saturday Swimwear aims to be less a part of the problem and more a part of the solution. We vow to put sustainability at the forefront of everything we do.

Our Efforts

We pride ourselves in radical transparency and aim to tell our brand story as honestly as possible. Learn more about Our Ethos.

Fabric

Our swimwear is crafted using premium regenerated fibers designed to reduce waste without compromising performance. Our solid fabrics are made from 78% ECONYL® regenerated nylon and 22% elastane. ECONYL® begins as rescued waste — including fishing nets, fabric scraps, and industrial plastics — recovered from oceans and landfills, then regenerated into high-performance nylon. Blended with elastane, the result is a fabric that delivers sculpting support, comfortable stretch, and a luxuriously soft feel. This innovative material offers enhanced durability, superior shape retention, and built-in UPF 50 sun protection. It is twice as resistant to chlorine, suntan creams, and oils compared to conventional recycled fabrics, helping your suit maintain its fit over time. ECONYL® can also be infinitely recycled, supporting a more circular fashion system. Our printed styles are made from 85% recycled polyester and 15% spandex, and are lined with our signature ECONYL® blend for consistent comfort and support.

Hang Tags

Crafted from 50% recycled paper and printed with soy-based inks, our hang tags are recyclable, home-compostable, and FSC® Certified, reflecting our commitment to responsible, ethical sourcing.

Packaging

Our shipping envelopes are made from FSC® certified recycled paper fibers with 100% recycled content, including 97% post-consumer waste diverted from landfills. They are completely plastic-free, curbside recyclable, and proudly made in the USA using locally sourced recycled inputs to reduce transportation footprint and support a transparent supply chain. Inside, each suit is protected with FSC® certified glassine packaging made from renewable paper fibers. This translucent, plastic-free material allows for easy barcode scanning and product visibility while remaining curbside recyclable. Even our shipping labels reflect this commitment — featuring a zero-waste liner, 100% recycled content, recycle-compatible adhesive, and processed chlorine-free paper. They are BPA-free and made without PFAS or phthalates, ensuring every detail of your order aligns with our thoughtful, low-impact approach.

Hygiene Liners

Our hygiene liners are made from 90% recycled materials, offering essential protection while reducing waste.

Ethical Manufacturing

Our swimsuits are thoughtfully cut and sewn in small batches at a woman-owned sew studio in Los Angeles, California. Our factory prioritizes safe working conditions for their employees and sustainable manufacturing practices to ensure that little waste is being created and the waste that is inevitably produced, is up-cycled and recycled as much as possible.
